NOVELTY - Graphene-based aqueous coating suspension comprises multiple graphene sheets, particles of an anti-corrosive pigment or sacrificial metal, and a waterborne binder resin dissolved or dispersed in water, where the multiple graphene sheets contain single-layer or few-layer graphene sheets comprising a pristine graphene material having essentially 0% of non-carbon elements, or a non-pristine graphene material having 0.001-47 wt.% of non-carbon elements, where the non-pristine graphene comprises graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, graphene fluoride, graphene chloride, graphene bromide, graphene iodide, hydrogenated graphene, nitrogenated graphene, doped graphene and/or chemically functionalized graphene and the coating suspension does not contain a silicate binder or microspheres dispersed in it and the graphene sheets have a weight fraction of 0.1-30% based on the total coating suspension weight excluding water. USE - The graphene-based aqueous coating suspension is useful in an object or structure (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) an object or structure coated at least in part with the coating and the coating does not contain a silicate binder or microspheres dispersed in it; and (2) inhibiting corrosion of a structure or object having a surface, comprising coating at least a portion of the surface with the coating suspension and at least partially removing water from the suspension upon completion of the coating step.
