NOVELTY - The device has multiple lower electrodes (102) spaced apart from each other in a horizontal direction. A floating upper electrode (101) is spaced apart from the lower electrode in a vertical direction. A light emitting layer is provided between the lower electrode and floating upper electrode. The lower electrode is provided with an anode and a cathode. The floating upper electrode is not connected to a power source. Surface luminescence occurs by an area of the lower electrode facing the floating upper electrode. USE - Electrolytic light emitting device for use in a shape-variable device (claimed). Can be used for surface light emission for, e.g., shape-variable display, shape-variable electrochemical sensor, or shape-variable battery. ADVANTAGE - The manufacturing process of the electrochemiluminescent device is simple. The mass-production is possible and the cost is low.
