NOVELTY - Manufacture of modified silica filler by sol-gel method involves adding a modifier to an aqueous reaction mixture containing a tetraalkoxysilane, an alcohol or a mixture of aliphatic alcohols in the presence of ammonium hydroxide or an ammonium compound. The modifier is graphene oxide and carbofunctional alkoxysilane. USE - Manufacture of modified silica filler used for preparation polymer composite materials. ADVANTAGE - The modified silica filler produces polymer composite materials with improved physico-mechanical properties.
