NOVELTY - The electrode has metal oxide nano-rods i.e. mono-crystal or poly-crystal, fixed in two sides of a graphene material e.g. monolayer or multi layer that contains graphene oxide. A pore is formed in an inner portion of the metal oxide nano-rods. The metal oxide nano-rods are made of materials such as tricobalt tetraoxide, ruthenium, iridium oxide, nickel oxide, titanium dioxide, lanthanum nickel oxide and oxide is cobalt, ruthenium, iridium, manganese, lanthanum, nickel, titanium and strontium. The metal nano-rods are fixed with each other. USE - Graphene-metal oxide nano-rod composite air electrode for a lithium air cell (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrode has better electrical and electrochemical stability and high energy density due to excellent electric conduction property of the graphene material, and improves catalyst action of the metal oxide nano-rods. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for manufacturing graphene-metal oxide nano-rod composite of a lithium air cell.
