▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Perforated sheet of graphene-based material (I) having an area, comprises: a perforated single layer of graphene; and many perforations in the single layer of graphene located over greater than 10% of the area of the single layer of graphene. The perforations: have mean pore size of 0.3 nm to 1 mu m; and have a density of 2 nm2 to 1 mu m2. The perforated area corresponds to 0.1% or greater of the area of the sheet of graphene-based material. USE - Used as perforated sheet of graphene-based material having an area. ADVANTAGE - (I) or (II): does not exhibit long range order; utilizes the non-graphenic carbon-based material , which has limited mobility and is non volatile (claimed); and has selective permeability of a species comprising atom, molecule, protein, virus, cell etc, where the selective permeability allows separation of species which exhibit different passage or transport rates. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) perforated sheet of graphene-based material (II) comprising the perforated single layer graphene having many perforations, which are located over greater than 10% of the area of the sheet of graphene-based material and the mean pore size of the perforations of 0.3 nm to 1 mu m; and (2) perforating a sheet of graphene-based material, comprising positioning the sheet of graphene-based material comprising a single layer graphene having at least two surfaces and non-graphenic carbon based material provided on the single layer graphene, where greater than 10% and less than 80% of the surfaces of the single layer graphene is covered by the non-graphenic carbon based material and exposing the sheet of graphene-based material to ions having an ion energy of 10 eV to 100 keV and fluence of 1x 1013 ions/cm2 to 1x 1021 ions/cm2 or UV radiation and an oxygen containing gas at an irradiation intensity of 10-100 mW/cm2 at a distance of 6 mm for 60-1200 seconds.
