NOVELTY - Thermal insulation composite material comprises 20-35 pts. wt. carbon fiber, 15-35 pts. wt. epoxy modified silicone resin, 4-18 pts. wt. phenyl silicone rubber, 2-8 pts. wt. nano graphene, 4-10 pts. wt. nano hollow alumina microspheres, 4-15 pts. wt. calcium sulfate whiskers, 2-6 pts. wt. expanded graphite, 2-6 pts. wt. silicon carbide ceramic powder, 1-2 pts. wt. silane coupling agent, 1-2 pts. wt. ethylenediamine curing agent, 1-2 pts. wt. defoamer, 1-2 pts. wt. surfactant, 1-2 pts. wt. dispersant, 1-2 pts. wt. glidant and 100-200 pts. wt. solvent. USE - The material is useful as engine heat-shield (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material: improves the heat insulation performance of the engine heat shield; has long service life; and enhances the mechanical properties of the heat shield. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the thermal insulation composite material, comprising (i) heating epoxy modified silicone resin and phenyl silicone rubber to a molten state under stirring, adding carbon fiber, calcium sulfate whisker, expanded graphite, and silicon carbide ceramic powder, adding dispersant and glidant, continuously stirring, adding part of the solvent and fully stirring, adding ethylenediamine curing agent and uniformly making ultrasonic vibration to obtain premix, (ii) uniformly mixing nano graphene, nano hollow alumina microspheres, silane coupling agent, defoaming agent, surfactant and remaining solvent to obtain auxiliary material, and(iii) sending the premix into the mold for pre-press molding at 70-80 degrees C for 10-20 minutes, where the molding thickness is 2-4 mm, taking out, spraying auxiliary materials on the surface by spraying, thickness of the auxiliary material is 0.4-0.6 mm under the protection of nitrogen, carrying out heat treatment at 240-250 degrees C for 10-20 minutes, continuously heating at 400-450 degrees C for 20-40 minutes, and cooling to obtain thermal insulation composite material.
