NOVELTY - Preparation of high toughness graphene/nitrile rubber/epoxy composite materials involves taking graphene, dispersing in organic solvent to form suspension, ice bathing, and performing ultrasonic magnetic stirring; mixing resulting suspension with epoxy resin; oil bathing, and heating to obtain volatile organic solvent; introducing into rolling mill, collecting resin mixture using vacuum oven, and degassing; adding nitrile rubber, performing prepolymerization, and vacuum pumping; adding curing agent, and mixing using high-speed; and vacuum degassing, and pouring into preheated forming die. USE - Method for preparing high toughness graphene/nitrile rubber/epoxy composite materials (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The mining preparation cost is low. The product has multifunctional features, and high toughness, which does not reduce rigidity of epoxy resin. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of high toughness graphene/nitrile rubber/epoxy composite materials comprises taking graphene, dispersing in organic solvent to form suspension, ice bathing, and performing ultrasonic magnetic stirring at 90-120W for 0.5-1.5 hour while ice bathing; mixing resulting suspension with epoxy resin, continuing ultrasonic magnetic stirring for 0.5-1.5 hour; oil bathing resulting mixture, and heating in magnetic stirrer for 1-3 hours to obtain volatile organic solvent; introducing graphene/epoxy resin mixture into rolling mill at 8-15 cycles for 3 times, where the rolling mill rotary speed ratio is 1:3:9, collecting resin mixture using vacuum oven, vacuum heating, and degassing to remove residual organic solvent; adding nitrile rubber into resulting mixture, performing prepolymerization by oil bathing at 140-160 degrees C for 2-4 hours and stirring using magnetic stirrer, cooling, transferring to vacuum oven, and vacuum pumping; cooling resulting mixture to room temperature, adding curing agent, stirring slightly, and mixing using high-speed mixer at 2000-3000 revolutions/minute (rpm) for 1-2 minutes; and placing resulting mixture into vacuum oven, vacuum degassing at room temperature for 3-5 minutes, pouring into preheated forming die, and placing mold in oven for curing to obtain graphene/nitrile rubber/epoxy composites.
