NOVELTY - The module has a LED module driving a set of LEDs. A heat sink is coupled to the LED module. The heat sink includes a base portion (110) on which the LED module can be mounted. A set of heat dissipation horns (160) protrude from an upper surface of the base portion. The heat dissipation horns are formed of a carbon material or a carbon composite material. An area of an inner cross section increases as distance from the base portion, which is an attachment surface, increases. The carbon composite material is obtained by adding the carbon material to a polymer compound. The carbon material is selected from carbon nanotubes, carbon graphite, carbon fiber and carbon graphene. The polymer compound is selected from epoxy resin, phenol resin, polyimide resin, polyamide resin and polypropylene. USE - Hollow column-shaped LED lighting module. ADVANTAGE - The module improves heat dissipation performance of the LED lighting module and reduces weight of the LED lighting module. The corrosion resistance of the LED lighting module is improved. The manufacturing and/or maintenance cost of the LED lighting module are reduced.
