▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Apparatus for production of graphene and similar atomic scale laminar materials by delamination of a bulk laminar material comprising graphite comprises: main pump (112) for pumping a fluid, where fluid is solid suspension of particles of the bulk laminar material, at a pressure of greater than 1 MPa, towards and in fluid communication with core components (10) comprising fluid conduit (12) having a principal axis for conveying the fluid; and impact head (16) having a face perpendicular or predominantly perpendicular to the principal axis. USE - The apparatus is useful for exfoliation of laminar materials to produce atomic scale laminar materials and for the production of graphene (claimed) and producing atomically thin 2-dimensional materials, in composites and electronic devices. ADVANTAGE - The apparatus: provides the graphene by simple, rapid, and is scalable process for producing high-quality, defect-free, unoxidized two-dimensional materials in commercially useful quantities; provides the composites, coatings, thermal management and electronic devices with improved properties of electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, barrier and mechanical strength. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Apparatus for production of graphene and similar atomic scale laminar materials by delamination of a bulk laminar material comprising graphite comprises: main pump (112) for pumping a fluid, where the fluid is solid suspension of particles of the bulk laminar material, at a pressure of greater than 1 MPa, towards and in fluid communication with core components (10) comprising a fluid conduit (12) having a principal axis for conveying the fluid, where the fluid conduit is arranged to direct fluid from that conduit against; and impact head (16) having a face perpendicular or predominantly perpendicular to the principal axis, where the impact head and the conduit are arranged so that an annular gap of 500 mu m to 1 mm results between an end of the conduit proximate to the impact head and the impact head where the gap forms a continuous region surrounding the end of the conduit and being substantially coplanar with the impact head and impact head surround (26) which extends the region in which the fluid is constrained before exiting the core components. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for exfoliation of laminar materials to produce atomic scale laminar materials by the delamination of bulk material comprising providing the apparatus and passing through the apparatus a suspension of laminar material in a liquid. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The figure illustrates schematic view in cross section of a second arrangement of core components of the apparatus.
