NOVELTY - Slag expanded bead composite phase change material comprises inner core structure composed of slag swelling beads impregnated with paraffin, aqueous epoxy resin coated on outer surface of inner core, and powder encapsulation layer attached to the outer surface of the aqueous epoxy resin. The porosity of the expanded slag beads is 0-80%, and the pores are connected or semi-connected. USE - The slag expanded bead composite phase change material is useful as coarse and fine aggregate of concrete. ADVANTAGE - The method greatly enhances the phase change energy storage envelope structure, and the heat storage function of the envelope structure, quickly exchanges heat with the environment through the slag expansion beads with high thermal conductivity, and absorbs external heat from solid to liquid, and when the external ambient temperature decreases, the paraffin in the composite phase change material rapidly changes from liquid to solid, releasing heat to the environment, plays a role in maintaining the stability of indoor temperature, which can reduce the operation of temperature control equipment and reduce energy consumption. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing slag expanded bead composite phase change material, comprising (i) adding solid paraffin into container, and heating and melting at 40-100degrees Celsius, (ii) immersing the slag swelling bead in the liquid paraffin, placing the container with the liquid paraffin, adding the slag swelling beads into vacuum drying oven, setting the vacuum degree to 0.001-0.1 MPa, and immersing the slag beads for 10-60 minutes and separating slag beads impregnated with paraffin, (iii) reducing the ambient temperature to ensure the paraffin wax is in a solid phase state, impregnating the paraffin wax with slag beads, and coating 0.1-200% aqueous epoxy resin, and curing for 5 minutes-24 hours, and (iv) before the aqueous epoxy resin is completely cured, impregnating slag beads with 0.1-400% powder of the total mass of paraffin to encapsulate the powder to make it easy to separate.
