NOVELTY - Flexible sodium metal battery cathode material comprises graphene aerogel as skeleton, the sodium metal is distributed in skeleton structure; the pore size of the skeleton is 10-50 mu m, the mass fraction of sodium metal in the material is 90-98 wt.%. USE - The cathode material is useful for sodium metal battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The cathode material: has good flexibility, uniform porosity and large specific surface area. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) preparing the flexible sodium metal battery cathode material comprising adding conductive material into water, adding reducing agent, reacting at 50-200 degrees C for 6-24 hours to obtain intermediate product, washing with water, freeze-drying at 5-10 MPa to form graphene aerogel, using graphene aerogel as skeleton, mixing with liquid metal sodium at 100-500 degrees C to obtain a flexible sodium metal cathode material, where conductive material is carbon black oxide, graphene oxide, carbon nanotube oxide or hollow carbon globule oxide; and (2) sodium metal battery comprising cathode material of battery is flexible sodium metal battery cathode material mentioned above, and battery electrolyte is carbonate electrolyte.
