NOVELTY - Silver nano wires-silicon-graphene oxide lithium ion battery cathode material, comprises inner core and outer shell. The inner core is silver nanowires, and the outer shell is silicon-graphene oxide complex, and silicon is completely coated on the silver nanowire, and graphene oxide is partially coated on the silicon layer. USE - The silver nano wires-silicon-graphene oxide lithium ion battery cathode material is useful in lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material: has high specific capacity, high first-time efficiency, and excellent cycle performance, The method: reduces the specific surface area; prevents direct contact between silicon and electrolyte; avoids generation of unstable solid electrolyte interface film; and improves first charge and discharge efficiency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing silver nano wires-silicon-graphene oxide lithium ion battery cathode material, comprising (i) preparing silver nanowires by polyol method using polyvinylpyrrolidone, silver nitrate and iron(III) chloride hexahydrate, (ii) coating silicon dioxide layer on the surface of obtained silver nanowires by the principle of tetraethyl orthosilicate hydrolysis to obtain silver nano wires-silicon dioxide composite material, (iii) reducing obtained silver nano wires-silicon dioxide composite material to silicon by magnesium thermal reduction method to reduce silicon dioxide layer of shell to obtain silver nano wires-silicon composite material, and (iv) coating obtained silver nano wires-silicon composite material with carbon layer to obtain final product.
