▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The electrically and thermally conductive element (100) comprises a wire or tape of high purity aluminum, and a strip (2) of pyrolytic graphite or graphene extending along the aluminum tape (1). The wire or the tape and the strip are encapsulated together in a sheath (3) of an electrically insulating material. The electrically insulated material of the sheath is a polyimide, and the strip of graphite extends laterally outwards with respect to the strip. The tape has a thickness of between 10 and 200 micrometre, and the strip has a thickness of between 10 and 200 micrometre. USE - Electrically and thermally conductive element for use in a coil of a rotating machine. ADVANTAGE - The composite conductive element makes it possible to benefit from the low mass of aluminum while having improved thermal performance thanks to the pyrolytic graphite. It has good thermal conductivity to cool the windings efficiently and to increase the current density in the wires. It can carry a large amount of current with limited Joule dissipation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a coil comprises a winding of an electrically and thermally conductive element; and (2) a cryogenic rotary machine comprises a stator including a coil. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a perspective view of the conductive element. Aluminum tape (1) Strip (2) Sheath (3) Electrically and thermally conductive element (100)
