NOVELTY - A graphene oxide/silicon dioxide composite modifier preparing method involves utilizing raw materials comprising 10 vol.% graphene oxide dispersion, 5-20 vol.% neutral silica solution and 70-85 vol.% deionized water, where the neutral silica solution has silicon dioxide content of 30 plus minus 1%, a pH of 7.5-8.5, a density of 1.19-1.21 g/cm3 and a particle size range of 10-20 nm. USE - Method for preparing graphene oxide/silicon dioxide composite modifier that is utilized for reducing wood water absorption, increasing wood dimensional stability and surface hardness. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparing graphene oxide/silicon dioxide composite modifier with reduced water absorption rate of the wood, in simple, environment-friendly, non-toxic and harmless, safe and cost effective manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a use of graphene oxide/silicon dioxide composite modifier for reducing wood water absorption, increasing wood dimensional stability and surface hardness.
