NOVELTY - Foam nickel is dissolved in water, acetone and ethanol, and ultrasonically cleaned. The foam nickel is dried and processed in chemical vapor deposition apparatus. Hydrogen is supplied, and maintained at 40-140 degrees C. Methane as carbon source is introduced, cooled, and multi-layer graphene is formed on nickel foam. Graphene is punched into circular negative thin sheet. Circular negative pole thin sheet, membrane, circular positive pole thin sheet and supporting component are placed inside battery casing. Battery casing and cover are pressed, and lithium ion battery is produced. USE - Manufacture of lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The lithium ion battery having excellent cycle characteristics, energy density and charging and discharging performance is produced. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Foam nickel is dissolved in deionized water, acetone and ethanol, and ultrasonically cleaned for 10-40 minutes. The foam nickel is dried by high pure nitrogen for 10 minutes, and processed in chemical vapor deposition apparatus having vacuum degree of 2-3 mTorr and temperature of 800-1100 degrees C. Hydrogen is supplied as reduced gas, and maintained at 40-140 degrees C. Methane as carbon source is introduced to reaction chamber in amount of 50-250 sccm, and furnace is controlled to 5-10 degrees C/minute. The furnace is cooled to normal temperature, and multi-layer graphene is formed on nickel foam. The foam is processed to size of 10-15 mm and thickness of 10-20 microns using a punching machine. The graphene is punched into circular negative thin sheet. The circular negative pole thin sheet, a membrane, a circular positive pole thin sheet and a supporting component are placed inside a battery casing. The battery casing and a cover are pressed by a sheet-pressing machine, and lithium ion battery is produced.
