NOVELTY - System comprises product comprising component comprising water soluble engraved graphene, where the water soluble engraved graphene comprises chemically bonded water soluble functional group, the water soluble engraved graphene is a graphene hybrid composite comprising graphene and multi-walled carbon nanotubes, the multi-walled carbon nanotubes in engraved graphene are less than 10 wt.%, the graphene hybrid composite has specific surface area greater than 2000 m2/g, the water soluble engraved graphene has specific surface area that is greater than 2000 m2/g, the engraved graphene comprises thin film graphene, graphene nano platelet, graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, fullerene or graphite, the water soluble functional group comprises sulfonic acid, carboxylic acid, alcohol, carbonyl, amine, thiol, imidazole, benzimidazole, pyrrolidinone or pyridine, and the water soluble engraved graphene is convertible to engraved graphene by heat or light. USE - Used as system. ADVANTAGE - The system: utilizes the product that becomes hydrophilic and exhibits stable dispersion in aqueous environment; utilizes the carbon black and graphene that exhibit exceptional mechanical properties, which look promising for reinforcement to improve material durability; and utilizes the engraved graphene product having unique functional groups allowing high efficiency of diazo coupling and exhibiting relatively good dispersion in the water and natural rubber latex. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - System comprises a product comprising a component comprising water soluble engraved graphene, where the water soluble engraved graphene comprises at least one chemically bonded water soluble functional group, the water soluble engraved graphene is a graphene hybrid composite comprising graphene and multi-walled carbon nanotubes, the multi-walled carbon nanotubes in the engraved graphene are less than 10 wt.%, the graphene hybrid composite has specific surface area greater than 2000 m2/g, the water soluble engraved graphene has a specific surface area that is greater than 2000 m2/g, the engraved graphene comprises at least one of a thin film graphene, a graphene nano platelet, graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, fullerene or graphite, the water soluble functional group comprises at least one of sulfonic acid, carboxylic acid, alcohol, carbonyl, amine, thiol, imidazole, benzimidazole, pyrrolidinone or pyridine, and the water soluble engraved graphene is convertible to engraved graphene by at least one of heat or light, when analyzed via X-ray diffraction, the water soluble engraved graphene has major diffraction peaks at 2 theta values of 29 degrees , 31 degrees , and 46 degrees . An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method comprising producing the water soluble engraved graphene.
