NOVELTY - A graphene-poly(arylene ether nitrile) resin composition comprises 1-50 pts. wt. modified graphene, 45-99 pts. wt. poly(aryl ether nitrile ketone) and 0-5 pts. wt. catalyst. USE - Graphene-poly(arylene ether nitrile) resin composition is used for preparing poly(arylene ether nitrile)resin-based composite material (claimed), insulating material and high-temperature-resistant coating. ADVANTAGE - The graphene-poly(arylene ether nitrile) resin composition has excellent compatibility and flame retardance, and provides composite material having excellent mechanical property, processability, heat resistance and corrosion resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of the resin composition, which involves adding modified graphene, poly(aryl ether nitrile ketone) and catalyst to an organic solvent, mixing, drying to evaporate the solvent, and curing at 20-180 degrees C; and (2) usage of the resin composition, which involves mixing the resin composition and inorganic or organic fibers and/or inorganic particles, drying, obtaining thermosetting composite material prepreg, winding, and molding to obtain poly(arylene ether nitrile)resin-based composite material containing 5-80% inorganic particles and/or fibers.
