NOVELTY - Magnetic field responsive hexagonal boron nitride particles comprises a hexagonal boron nitride particle that responds to a magnetic field, which has an adsorption layer of a monolayer of graphene oxide or partially reduced graphene oxide on the surface of the scale-like or plate-like hexagonal boron nitride particle, where the graphene oxide or magnetic field-responsive hexagonal boron nitride particles with magnetic particles attached to an adsorption layer of partially reduced graphene oxide. USE - The magnetic field responsive hexagonal boron nitride particles are used in a sheet-shaped resin composition (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The magnetic field responsive hexagonal boron nitride particles provides hexagonal boron nitride particles that can be oriented in a magnetic field (0.2-1 tesla) equivalent to that of a permanent magnet, and has excellent thermal conductivity even if the concentration of the hexagonal boron nitride particles is not high. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: a sheet-shaped resin composition comprising magnetic field responsive hexagonal boron nitride particles that is mixed with a resin, and contains the magnetic field responsive hexagonal boron nitride particles in a volume ratio of 8 vol.% or more; and a method for producing a resin composition, involving placing the aggregate of magnetic field responsive hexagonal boron nitride particles under a magnetic field of 0.2-3 Tesla to orient the particles, and impregnating the assembly with a curable liquid resin and curing it.
