NOVELTY - O-cresol novolac epoxy resin comprises 10-40 pts. wt. o-cresol novolac resin, 20-60 pts. wt. epichlorohydrin, 2-4 pts. wt. modifier, 0.01-0.1 pts. wt. decolorizing reducing agent, and 1-2 pts. wt. phase transfer catalyst, 0.5-1.0 pts. wt. basic catalyst and 1-5 pts. wt. modified particles. The modified particles are graphene complex polylactic acid foam particles. USE - The O-cresol formaldehyde epoxy resin is useful as packaging material of semiconductor industry and civil weak electric product, electronic ink, copper-clad plate and adhesive. ADVANTAGE - The o-cresol formaldehyde epoxy resin has a lower total chlorine content, which is good for the o- cresol resin package of integrated circuit at high temperature, long-term working in humid environment, and the production technique is simple, the controllability is strong, the operability is good, the condition is mild, and it is more beneficial for popularization and application of industrialization. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparing the o-cresol novolac epoxy resin, comprising (i) mixing o-cresol aldehyde resin, epichlorohydrin, decolorizing reducing agent and phase transfer catalyst, heating for reduction and decolorization reaction, adding modified particles, adding basic catalyst, carrying out base-catalyzed ring-closing reaction to obtain a reaction system, (ii) adding a dissolving agent and a modifying agent to the reaction system, and performing a refining reaction to obtain o-cresol novolac epoxy resin.
