NOVELTY - Ophthalmic lens comprises first lens having first flat surface and first non-flat surface, second lens having second flat surface and second non-flat surface, first electrode layer disposed at the first flat surface and second electrode layer disposed at the second flat surface, and dimming material disposed between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, and configured to provide an adjustable dimming effect. USE - Ophthalmic lens with an embedded dimmer used in artificial reality devices, such as a head-mounted display (HMDs) or heads-up display (HUD) devices, have wide applications in various fields, including aviation, engineering design, medical surgery practice, and video gaming. The ophthalmic lens includes a dimming device included as a guest-host liquid crystal (LC) dimming device, a polymer stabilized cholesterol LC dimming device, a suspended particle device, an electrochromic dimming device, an electrophoretic dimming device, an electroplating dimming device, a photochromic dimming device, a photo dichroic dimming device, a hybrid dimming device including a hybrid dimming material layer. ADVANTAGE - The ophthalmic lenses alters the ambient light while transmitting the ambient light, to provide vision correction to the user's eyesight. The dimmer device enhances the visual needs of the user.
