NOVELTY - A high energy density cathode is a carbon-coated cathode, whose two sides are coated with carbon. The thickness of the carbon coating on each side is 1-30 mum. USE - High energy density cathode for lithium battery used in consumer electronics, electric vehicles and energy storage. ADVANTAGE - The thickness of the single-sided coating of the cathode greatly reduces the volume and mass ratio of the cathode, and can significantly improve the energy density of the battery. The carbon coating can provide a certain deposition site for the lithium coming from the anode during the charging process to make the deposition more uniform, the dendritic problem is improved significantly, and the safety is higher. The carbon-coated cathode can provide enough lithium deposition sites to make the deposition of lithium more uniform and avoid the formation of lithium-copper alloy and reduce the loss of lithium.
