NOVELTY - Preparation of medical gel dressing with freeze-proof, antibacterial, and light-to-heat conversion function involves using carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS), graphene oxide, acrylamide, 1-vinyl-3-butylimidazolium bromide (VBIMBr), N,N-methylene bisacrylamide (BIS) and ammonium persulfate (APS) as raw materials. USE - Preparation of medical gel dressing with freeze-proof, antibacterial, and light-to-heat conversion function used for preventing and treating frostbite of field workers in high and cold regions. ADVANTAGE - The method provides medical gel dressing, maintains excellent dispersibility by reducing graphene oxide, and enhances the photo-thermal property. Carboxymethyl chitosan has excellent antibacterial and healing promoting capabilities, and improved the antibacterial properties by introducing photocatalyst iodine-titanium oxide into the hydrogel. The antibacterial property is further improved by introducing the antibacterial agent into hydrogel. The addition of acrylamide improves the physical mechanical strength of the gel. The VBIMBr is polymerized in a hydrogel network to endow the gel dressing with freeze-proof and antibacterial performance. The medical gel dressing has excellent freezing resistance, antibacterial and light-to-heat conversion, and is used in low-temperature environment of - 24℃.
