▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Energy storage device comprises: (a) a negative electrode (905) comprising graphene, a first binder, and a conductive additive; (b) a positive electrode (907) comprising an active material, and a second binder; and (c) a separator (906) between the negative electrode and the positive electrode. USE - The energy storage device is useful: as lithium-ion battery; and in portable electronics e.g. cell phones, computers and cameras, medical devices e.g. life-sustaining and life-enhancing medical devices including pacemakers, defibrillators, hearing aids, pain management devices and drug pumps, electric vehicles e.g. batteries, electric aircraft and military batteries. ADVANTAGE - The energy storage device: exhibits a storage capacity of 800-4000 (preferably at least 800) mAh and 80-800 (preferably at least 80) mAh/g; exhibits a cycle life of 500-1500 (preferably 500) cycles and an equivalent series resistance of 5-100 (preferably at most 100) milliohms (claimed); exhibits energy density of greater than or equal to 50 (preferably 400) Wh/kg, power density of greater than or equal to 500 (preferably 3500) W/kg, a charge voltage of greater than or equal to 2 (preferably 4.5) V; provides improved performance as compared to conventional energy storage devices; and provides double the capacity of commercial cells, twice the power of commercial cells, and/or cycle life and be used for twice as long. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for fabricating an electrode, comprising combining a binder and a solvent, heating the binder and the solvent, mixing an active material into the binder and the solvent to form a slurry, roll coating the slurry onto a foil, drying the slurry on the foil, roll pressing the slurry on the foil, and slitting the slurry on the foil.
