NOVELTY - Method for preparing a gas-sensitive material involves (a) dissolving the first metal source in an organic solvent, adding the graphene oxide dispersion liquid to obtain a mixed liquid (I), adjusting the pH of the first mixed solution to alkaline, stirring and reacting to prepare a seed crystal suspension, adding an electron transfer aid to the seed crystal suspension, and stirring the reaction to prepare a mixed liquid (II), (b) using a second metal source to configure the growth liquid, and (c) mixing the mixed liquid (II) and the growth liquid, hydrothermally reacting at 60-180 degrees C for 1-12 hours, and carrying out solid-liquid separation to obtain the product, where, the order of step (a) and step (b) is not limited, the first metal source and the second metal source comprise at least one of a zinc source, a tin source, and an indium source, the electron transfer aid comprises organic small molecules containing aromatic rings. USE - The method is useful for preparing a gas-sensitive material, which is useful for a gas-sensing coating in gas-sensing electrode for a gas-sensing detection device (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The gas-sensitive material rapidly responds and recovers low-concentration formaldehyde under room temperature conditions, has high reaction sensitivity and low detection limit, adopts easily available raw materials, and is cost-effective.
