NOVELTY - Preparing carbon-coated lithium iron phosphate nano-sheet involves dissolving lithium source and phosphorus source in ethylene glycol with vigorous stirring to obtain a white dispersion liquid. Manganese source is dissolved in a mixed solvent of water and ethylene glycol, and a reducing agent is added to give a clear solution which is added dropwise to the white dispersion and the mixed dispersion is subjected to hydrothermal treatment to obtain lithium manganese phosphate. The lithium manganese phosphate after grinding is mixed with carbon source. USE - Method for preparing carbon-coated lithium iron phosphate nano-sheet (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare carbon-coated lithium iron phosphate nano-sheet with electrochemical performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing carbon-coated lithium iron phosphate nano-sheet involves dissolving lithium source and phosphorus source in ethylene glycol with vigorous stirring to obtain a white dispersion liquid. The mixture is heated and the powder obtained is dispersed in absolute ethanol. Amine is added to the dispersion which is warmed to 50 degrees C for 5 hours. The resultant is milled and the powder is re-dispersed in ethanol, and heated again to 50 degrees C while adding graphene oxide solution dropwise with vigorous stirring for 2 hours. The product obtained is treated with 50% hydrazine hydrate solution, washed thrice with absolute ethanol and then dried for 10 hours at 60 degrees C to obtain carbon-coated lithium iron phosphate.
