▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - A core-shell polymer yarn (200) preparation system comprises an inner core (201) having at least one polymer monofilament or a polymer multifilament, and an outer shell (202) containing a mixture of at least one polymer with softening point below 160°C, a biocide and/or an additive. USE - System is used for preparing core-shell polymer yarn. ADVANTAGE - The system enables to prepare the polymer yarn which is passed through a quenching process that increases the surface energy of the yarn. The passing of polymer yarn through treatment tank containing specific formulation of additives, during the process, enables binding of the polymer yarn with the additives, easily to form core-shell yarn having improved strength, where the shell provides the functionality. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the preparation of core-shell yarn, which involves: 1) quenching a yarn in a quenching bath, to obtain a surface modified yarn, where the quenching bath contains an oxidising solution for surface modification of the yarn; 2) pulling the surface modified yarn from the quenching bath, over a first godet roller to obtain a pulled yarn; 3) passing the pulled yarn in a hot water bath under a second godet roller, to soften the yarn to obtain a stretched yarn; 4) passing the obtained stretched yarn through a treatment tank, to obtain a core-shell yarn, where the treatment tank contains a shell forming formulation; 5) cooling the obtained core-shell yarn at room temperature; and 6) winding the cooled core-shell yarn on a winder.
