NOVELTY - A sulfur-doped graphene-modified glassy carbon electrode preparing method involves diluting oxidized graphite to the glassy carbon surface of the glassy carbon electrode to obtain graphite oxide thin film modified glassy carbon electrode. The graphene-modified glassy carbon electrode is utilized as a working electrode, and an electrolytic solution containing an activated organic sulfur compound in a three-electrode system, is subjected to constant potential electrolysis to obtain finished product. USE - Method for preparing sulfur-doped graphene-modified glassy carbon electrode that is utilized for detecting heavy metals in water (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a sulfur-doped graphene-modified glassy carbon electrode prepared by the method (2) a method for detecting heavy metals in water by using sulfur-doped graphene-modified glassy carbon electrode.
