NOVELTY - The preparation of graphene-poly(4,4'-diphenylether-5,5'-bibenzimidazole) composite material involves dispersing graphite powder in methanesulfonic acid, sealing, ultrasonically dispersing the mixed solution, ultrasonically centrifuging to remove un-stripped graphite particles, mixing methanesulfonic acid/graphene solution with pure methanesulfonic acid solution, adding phosphorus pentoxide, stirring, adding biphenyl-3,3'-diamine and 4,4'-dibenzoate, heating, precipitating the product into ice water, washing, drying, mixing with dimethyl sulfoxide, and casting on glass plate. USE - Preparation method of graphene-poly(4,4'-diphenylether-5,5'-bibenzimidazole) composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene-poly(4,4'-diphenylether-5,5'-bibenzimidazole) composite material with greatly improved performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation method of graphene-poly(4,4'-diphenylether-5,5'-bibenzimidazole) composite material involves (1) dispersing 0.12 g graphite powder in 60 ml methanesulfonic acid, sealing the system, avoiding contact with air, ultrasonically dispersing the mixed solution in a low power ultrasonic instrument for 2 hours, ultrasonically centrifuging the solution at rate of 3000 rpm for 90 minutes to remove un-stripped graphite particles, where the upper layer solution is graphene oxide solution, (2) mixing methanesulfonic acid/graphene solution with pure methanesulfonic acid solution in a 100 ml three-necked flask to obtain solution with total volume of 30 ml, adjusting the volume ratio of methanesulfonic acid/graphene solution with pure methanesulfonic acid solution so that the content of graphene reaches 0.6 wt.%, adding 5 g phosphorus pentoxide, stirring until dissolved, adding 5 mmol biphenyl-3,3'-diamine and 5 mmol 4,4'-dibenzoate, heating at 140 degrees C, stirring and reacting for 4 minutes under nitrogen atmosphere, precipitating the product into ice water, washing with 5 wt.% sodium bicarbonate solution for 24 hours, washing using deionized water for 24 hours, and drying to obtain graphene-poly(4,4'-diphenylether-5,5'-bibenzimidazole) composite material, and (3) adding 0.5 g graphene-poly(4,4'-diphenylether-5,5'-bibenzimidazole) composite material to 10 ml dimethyl sulfoxide, magnetically stirring to completely dissolve, casting on a smooth glass plate, drying at 12 degrees C for 80 hours, washing the dried film with water at 60 degrees C for 12 hours, completely removing the solvent dimethyl sulfoxide, and drying at 12 degrees C for 80 hours to obtain film with 0.02-0.04 mm thickness.
