NOVELTY - Preparing double metal hydroxide graphene gas gel electro-catalyst comprises (1) dissolving divalent, trivalent metal salt, sodium citrate and urea in water, stirring to obtain solution A, where the total concentration of the divalent and trivalent metal ions is 2-40 mM, the mol ratio of divalent metal salt and trivalent metal salt is (1-15): 1, the total mol ratio of sodium citrate dihydrate and metal salt is (0.02-1): 1, the mol ratio of urea to sodium citrate is (0.2-19): 1, (2) adding graphene oxide aqueous solution into solution A, stirring to obtain solution B, where the mass ratio of the graphene oxide doping amount to the total mass of the divalent and trivalent metal salts is (0.018-1): 1, (3) pouring the solution B obtained in the step (2) into a hydrothermal reaction kettle, placing in an oven for hydro-thermal treatment at 140-200degrees Celsius for 24-48 hours, and (4) freezing and drying the gel or CO2 supercritical drying treatment to obtain the product. USE - The method is useful for preparing double metal hydroxide graphene gas gel electro-catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The method has low energy consumption, is simple and so on and is easy to realize scale production.
