NOVELTY - Preparing graphene-based compound micro-rods supported by positive active material comprises (1) wet spinning the slurry and coagulating in rotating coagulation bath to obtain graphene oxide-based gel microrods, where the slurry comprises graphene oxide, anode active material and water, and (2) annealing the graphene oxide-based gel microrod in protective atmosphere to obtain graphene-based compound microrod supported by the anode active material. USE - The material is useful in lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material: has excellnt rod-like structure; uniformly distributes the anode active material in the micro-rod; realizes the high-content loading and onion roll coating of graphene on the anode active material; transports electrons between layers and conduct lithium ion between layers; promotes the rapid transport of charges during the cycle of the electrode active material; ensures good interface contact between the active material and the grapheme; and improves the rate performance of the battery.
