NOVELTY - Cathode material comprises raw materials and auxiliary raw materials, where the raw material includes lithium source, iron source, manganese source and phosphorus source, and the auxiliary raw materials includes carbon source, deionized water and protective gas. USE - The cathode material is useful in lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material: has high-performance and better electrochemical performance. The method: grinds raw materials before preparing lithium iron manganese phosphate, which has more fine and uniform lithium iron manganese phosphate material, and has better electrochemical performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparing cathode material, comprising (1) measuring lithium source, iron source, manganese source, phosphorus source and carbon source in main raw materials by measuring device, (2) adding materials into grinder, and adding grinding media to carry out preliminary grinding, (3) dissolving ferrous sulfate and manganese sulfate, preparing ferrous sulfate and manganese sulfate solution and sealing, (4) adding lithium source to deionized water to dissolve, adding phosphorus source in to obtain lithium phosphate, (5) lithium quickly transferring phosphate prepared by reaction to reaction kettle, introducing protective gas from vent to discharge air in reaction kettle, and adding iron source and manganese source solution to reaction kettle with peristaltic pump at fixed flow rate, (6) controlling heating rate to reach specific temperature, heat preserving, cooling to room temperature, collecting out prepared product, washing with deionized water, and drying, (7) mixing prepared lithium iron manganese phosphate and carbon source in specific proportion, adding into ball mill, adding zirconia balls and deionized water, and placing in a closed planetary ball mill for ball milling, (8) collecting out ball-milled material, testing particle size, and drying after particle size meets requirements, (9) loading material into sintering tube, transferring it to tube furnace, passing in protective gas, and carrying out calcination, and (10) cooling down, grounding and meshing prepared lithium iron manganese phosphate.
