▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Manufacture of reduced graphene oxide involves mechanically agitating graphite powder with a mixture of an alcohol, a ketone and a nonionic surfactant at a temperature (I) of 90-110 degrees C for 30-90 minutes under reflux to form a suspension, cooling and centrifuging suspension to obtain a supernatant solution, and heating the supernatant solution at temperature (II) of 400-450 degrees C for 30-60 minutes to form reduced graphene oxide. USE - Manufacture of reduced graphene oxide for fabricating biosensor devices e.g. immunosensor (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to fascinating carbon-based material in various applications such as nanoelectronics, nanocomposites, sensors and energy storage, biosensing material, biofuel cells, and drug delivery, etc. ADVANTAGE - The method provides graphene oxide in a comparatively simpler manner and high yield, and having increased surface area, and graphene-based biosensors having excellent sensing characteristics. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for fabricating a biosensor device, which involves preparing reduced graphene oxide, forming at least one electrode on a substrate, coating the electrode with the reduced graphene oxide, and immobilizing a biomolecule on the reduced graphene oxide to form the biosensor.
