NOVELTY - The battery has an outer part (110) comprising a translucent polymer film, an upper surface and a lower surface opposite to the upper surface. A translucent graphene-based unit (120) includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first surface is in contact with the lower surface of the outer part. An inner part (130) comprises a translucent thermoplastic film, an upper surface in contact with the second surface of the translucent graphene-based unit and a lower surface opposite to the upper surface of the inner part. The translucent polymer film has a first melting point and first mechanical strength. The translucent thermoplastic film has a second melting point and second mechanical strength, where the first melting point is higher than the second melting point and the first mechanical strength is higher than the second mechanical strength. USE - Graphene-based battery for use in an electronic device (claimed). Uses include but are not limited to in a portable personal computer, a handheld computing device e.g. mobile tablet computer, electronic-book reader (e-reader), and mobile telephone such as smartphone, a wearable computing device such as watch, pedometer, biosensing wristband, goggles and head-mounted visor, and a portable consumer electronics equipment such as camera, portable TV set, gaming console, navigation device, voice-over-internet-protocol telephone and media playback device. ADVANTAGE - The battery allows translucent structures to provide visibility into interior of the battery, which can qualitatively assess state-of-health of the battery.
