NOVELTY - Preparing hydrophilic graphite, comprises mixing 0.5-10 pts. wt. graphene oxide with 500 pts. wt. water, carrying out ultrasonic dispersion for 30-60 minutes, to obtain graphene oxide aqueous dispersion, adding 90-99.5 pts. wt. flake graphite and 0-0.1 pts. wt. dispersing agent to graphene oxide aqueous dispersion, carrying out ultrasonic dispersion for 30-60 minutes, to obtain a mixture of graphene oxide-coated graphite, and drying graphene oxide-coated graphite at 105-110 degrees C for 24-48 hours or freeze-drying for 24-48 hours. USE - The graphite is useful for refractory castable (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, economical and environmental-friendly; has short production period; and produces product having good dispersibility in refractory castable and less amount of water, and which can improve the erosion and thermal shock stability of the refractory castable.
