NOVELTY - Composite modified diaphragm for lithium-sulfur battery, comprises a diaphragm substrate and a modified layer laid on one side of the diaphragm base. The diaphragm substrate is a common commercial battery diaphragm substrate. The modified layer includes at least two carbon nanotubes layers and at least one cerium oxide/carbon/reduced graphene oxide (CeO(2-x)/C/rGO layer). The carbon nanotubes layer and CeO(2-x)/C/rGO layer are alternately laid on one side surface of the diaphragm substrate and the carbon nanotubes layer is in contact with the diaphragm substrate. The cerium oxide in the CeO(2-x)/C/rGO layer exists in a non-stoichiometric state, where x = 0.1-0.3. USE - Used as composite modified diaphragm for lithium-sulfur battery. ADVANTAGE - The modified diaphragm can inhibit the shuttle effect of lithium-sulfur battery, improves the capacity, rate performance and cycle life of the battery, and has a simple manufacturing method and low cost, and is suitable for large-scale production.
