NOVELTY - Manufacture of nickel selenide/graphene/carbon nanotube composite material involves dispersing oxidized graphite and acidified carbon nanotubes in water, mixing dispersions, uniformly stirring, quenching with liquid nitrogen, freeze drying to obtain aerogel, carbonizing at high temperature, dissolving nickel nitrate hexahydrate and urea in mixture of water and ethanol, stirring, dispersing, immersing the aerogel in dispersion, depositing to obtain nickel hydroxide-graphene-carbon nanotube composite, drying in tube furnace, and performing selenization reaction. USE - Manufacture of nickel selenide/graphene/carbon nanotube composite material for high-performance electrocatalytic material and electrode material for sodium ion battery and supercapacitor (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The nickel selenide/graphene/carbon nanotube composite material having excellent conductivity, porosity and high specific surface area is produced. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Manufacture of nickel selenide/graphene/carbon nanotube composite material involves dispersing oxidized graphite and acidified carbon nanotubes in water, mixing the two aqueous dispersions, uniformly stirring, quenching with liquid nitrogen, freeze drying to obtain aerogel, carbonizing at high temperature under inert atmosphere, dissolving nickel nitrate hexahydrate and urea in mixture of water and ethanol, stirring, dispersing, immersing the aerogel in dispersion, depositing to obtain nickel hydroxide-graphene-carbon nanotube composite, drying in tube furnace, and performing selenization reaction using selenide powder by heating in high purity nitrogen gas stream.
