NOVELTY - Graphene oil-absorbing fiber with high-efficiency oil-water separation performance. The fiber is loaded with polybutyl methacrylate and reduced graphene oxide. USE - Used as graphene oil-absorbing fiber with high-efficiency oil-water separation performance. ADVANTAGE - The fiber has good oil-water separation performance for different kinds of oil-water mixture and huge application prospects in the fields of oil-water separation and oil recovery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing oil-absorbing fiber comprising (a) cutting the fiber into rectangular with mass of 6g, placing into absolute ethyl alcohol for ultrasonic for 60minutes, drying for 12hours at 50 degrees C to obtain clean fiber, (b) preparing solution containing 0.3g/l graphene oxide and 0.5g/l polymethyl acrylate, where the solvent is deionized water, ultrasonically for 1hour to obtain uniform mixed solution, (c) placing the fiber in the mixed solution, placing in the vacuum drying box for vacuumizing for 5hours at 30 degrees C to make the graphene oxide and polymethyl acrylate tightly combined with the fiber, (d) taking out the mixed solution soaked with fiber, extracting the redundant solution, placing the fiber in the oven for drying at 50 degrees C for 24hours and (e) placing the fiber in a vacuum drying box, vacuumizing, heating to 180 degrees C, keeping the temperature for 24hours, closing the vacuum drying box, cooling to 50 degrees C and taking out the fiber to obtain the graphene oil absorbing fiber.
