NOVELTY - Functional group graphene comprises a layer. USE - The graphene is useful in a polymer functional group graphene composite (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene has excellent physical property, low gas transmittance, and high electric conductance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) a polymer functional group graphene composite including a polymer and the functional group graphene; and (2) manufacturing the functional group graphene, comprising treating an acid-treated graphite with an acid to form a graphene, dispersing the acid-treated graphene in a first solvent to form a first solution, dispersing a precursor functional group in a second solvent to form a second solution, mixing the first solution and the second solution with a functional group containing the graphene to form a third solution, and separating the functional group graphene from the third solution.
