NOVELTY - 9,10-Dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO) functionalized graphene oxide/zeolitic imidazolate frameworks-8 (ZIF-8) composite material comprises 1.5-3 pts. wt. zinc nitrate, 0.3-0.6 pt. wt. DOPO functionalized graphene oxide, 28.7-57.4 pts. wt. 2-methylimidazole and 88 pts. wt. deionized water. USE - As 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO) functionalized graphene oxide/zeolitic imidazolate frameworks-8 (ZIF-8) composite material. ADVANTAGE - The material has synergistic flame-retardant effect, and has high flame retardant performance as compared with single-component flame retardant. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a preparation method of the composite material, involving (a) dissolving 1.5-3 pts. wt. zinc nitrate in 8 pts. wt. deionized water, magnetically stirring for 10 minutes, adding 0.3-0.6 pt. wt. DOPO functionalized graphene oxide, stirring and ultrasonically processing for 30 minutes to obtain a solution (A), (b) dissolving 28.7-57.4 pts. wt. 2-methylimidazole in 80 pts. wt. deionized water, magnetically stirring for 10 minutes to obtain solution (B), pouring the solution (B) into the solution (A), and stirring for 120 minutes, and (c) centrifuging at 10000 rpm for 10 minutes, washing with deionized water for multiple times, and drying at 65 degrees C to obtain the composite material.
