NOVELTY - A polyamide molding compound comprises 27-89.99 wt.% partially crystalline, partially aromatic polyamide (a1) or 5-38 wt.% polyamide mixture comprising the component (a1) and caprolactam-containing polyamide(s) (a2) having a caprolactam content of 50 wt.% or more, which is different from the component (a1), 10-65 wt.% filler(s) (b), 0.01-3 wt.% optionally substituted metallocene(s) (c), and 0-35 wt.% additive(s) (d). USE - Polyamide molding compound is used for forming component of engine compartment of automotive application, electrical application, electronic application, mechanical engineering application, energy production application and energy supply application, in particular cylinder head cover, engine cover, housing or component for intercooler, intercooler flap, intake pipe, in particular intake manifold, exhaust pipe, connector, gear wheel, fan wheel, cooling water box, housing or component of heat exchanger, coolant cooler, thermostat, water pump, radiator, fastener, printed circuit board, foil, line, housing or component of electrical/electronic device, housing or component of fan heater, switch, distributor, relay, resistor, capacitor, coil, lamp, diode, LEDs, transistor, connector, controller, memory element and sensor (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The polyamide molding compound has improved flowability in spiral flow test, and provides product having improved tensile strength, elongation at break and heat resistance.
