NOVELTY - Preparing plastic pipes for high thermal conductivity cables comprises (i) loading iron(II,III) oxide on the thermally conductive filler to obtain mixture, and (ii) melt blending and extruding the mixture, plastic and coupling agent in a twin-screw extruder to obtain plastic pipe for high thermal conductivity cables, where the discharge port of the twin-screw extruder is provided with an annular electromagnetic device. USE - The plastic pipe is useful in power transmission cables (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: improves the radial thermal conductivity and temperature response speed of iron(II,III) oxide in the plastic pipe; reduces the mechanical properties of plastic pipes; and improves their thermal conductivity can be applied to long-distance power transmission pipelines, which can solve the technical problems of poor thermal conductivity of plastic cables and difficulty in dissipating heat. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for plastic pipes prepared by the above preparation method, where the plastic pipe has thermal conductivity of 2-3 W/mK and tensile strength of 21-31 MPa.
