NOVELTY - The preparation of single-layer oxidized graphene involves adding graphite and potassium nitrate to sulfuric acid, stirring, adding potassium permanganate, oxidizing, adding deionized water, heating, reacting, adding deionized water, adding hydrogen peroxide, turning suspension to bright yellow under hydrogen peroxide treatment to obtain graphite oxide, centrifugal washing, inserting water molecules into oxide layer of graphite to obtain oxidized graphene hydro sol and obtaining different sizes of lamellar graphene oxide sol by changing the size of the precursor graphite. USE - Preparation of single-layer oxidized graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of single-layer oxidized graphene with high dispersibility and controllable size. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation of single-layer oxidized graphene involves adding 1.0 g graphite and 1.0 g potassium nitrate to 46 ml sulfuric acid, stirring for 10 minutes, adding 6 g potassium permanganate, stirring for 6 hours, oxidizing, adding 80 ml deionized water, heating at 90 degrees C, stirring for 30 minutes, reacting, adding 200 ml deionized water, adding 6 ml 30% hydrogen peroxide, turning suspension to bright yellow under hydrogen peroxide treatment to obtain graphite oxide, centrifugal washing of graphite to remove impurity ions, repeating washing process until neutral, gradually inserting water molecules into oxide layer of graphite to obtain uniformly dispersed oxidized graphene hydro sol and obtaining different sizes of lamellar graphene oxide sol by changing the size of the precursor graphite.
