NOVELTY - A graphene-modified polypropylene micro-foam composite material comprises 60-65 pts. wt. polypropylene copolymer, 1.8-3.5 pts. wt. blowing agent, 14-20 pts. wt. talc powder, 15-20 pts. wt. elastomer, 2-6 pts. wt. graphene oxide, 0.2-0.6 pt. wt. organic amine modifier, 0.2-0.4 pt. wt. antioxidant, 0.5-1 pt. wt. lubricant and 0-2 pts. wt. additive. USE - Graphene-modified polypropylene micro-foam composite material for use in door panels, column and central channel of automobile. ADVANTAGE - The graphene-modified polypropylene micro-foam composite material has improved compatibility between the graphene and the polypropylene, improves melt strength, improved mechanical performance, low density and lightweight, and can meet the requirements of lightweight automotive components. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method for preparing graphene-modified polypropylene micro-foam composite material, which involves (i) uniformly mixing graphene oxide and organic amine modifier in acetone, stirring at 40-50 degrees C for 24-48 hours, centrifuging, washing and drying to obtain organically modified graphene oxide, (ii) adding organically modified graphene oxide, polypropylene copolymer, talc powder, elastomer, antioxidant, lubricant and additive, mixing, and transferring into a twin-screw extruder, carrying out melt extrusion, and granulating to obtain polypropylene composite, (iii) mixing polypropylene composite material and blowing agent and adding into a hopper of an injection molding machine, and injection-molding twice to obtain graphene-modified polypropylene micro-foam composite material.
