NOVELTY - Preparing potassium metal battery cathode comprises (i) adding hydrogen peroxide and pyrrole to the oxidation graphene solution, hydrothermal reacting, collecting precipitate, cleaning, freezing and drying, and carbonizing at high temperature in argon atmosphere to obtain NGM powder, (ii) using coating method, adding NGM, conductive agent and bonding agent to the deionized water to form a uniform slurry, uniformly coating on the conductive current collector, drying, cutting the cut sheet and assembling into battery with the potassium sheet, and (iii) depositing potassium ion by constant current electrochemical deposition to obtain K-NGM cathode. USE - The cathode is useful in preparing potassium metal battery cathode (claimed), and an electric automobile and in hard carbon, soft carbon, carbon nano-tube, graphite graphene and Sn3P4/graphene. ADVANTAGE - The method only needs hydrothermal reaction and high temperature carbonization to prepare NGM, simplifies the preparation process, shortens the reaction time, improves the product uniformity, and avoids the generation of heterophasic. and the method shows a high average discharge platform (4V discharge platform), long cycle life and high rate performance.
