NOVELTY - Self-supporting electrode comprises metal phosphide substrate with three-dimensional bicontinuous nano-mesoporous structure and metal oxides distributed on the walls of the mesoporous structure of metal phosphide substrate, where material of the metal phosphide substrate is Co1-xFexP, x is 0-1, the metal phosphide substrate and metal oxide surface are coated with graphene-type carbon, and metal oxide includes cobalt oxide and iron oxide. The cobalt oxide includes tricobalt tetroxide. The iron oxide includes ferric oxide. USE - The self-supporting electrode is useful in lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The self-supporting electrode: has simple and convenient preparation, and is environmentally friendly and economical. The electrode can ensure a high loading capacity of active materials and exhibit excellent lithium storage performance.
