NOVELTY - A water-soluble carbon fiber sizing agent comprises 100 pts. wt. epoxy resin, 5-55 pts. wt. diluent, 10-55 pts. wt. modifier, 5-35 pts. wt. glacial acetic acid, 5-40 pts. wt. allyl polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene epoxy ether, 0-15 pts. wt. graphene oxide, and 150 pts. wt. deionized water. USE - Water-soluble carbon fiber sizing agent used for carbon fiber composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The water-soluble carbon fiber sizing agent is economical, non-toxic and environmentally-friendly, has excellent stability, improves adhesion between thermoplastic resin and carbon fiber, improves wear resistance of carbon fiber, reduces the amount of fuzz, improves post-processing property of carbon fiber, improves interfacial bonding property of thermoplastic resin, and improves mechanical strength of the composite. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of water soluble carbon fiber sizing agent, which involves mixing epoxy resin with diluent at 35-70 degrees C and 200-400 rpm, adding modifier, after 1-2.5 hours adding glacial acetic acid to obtain modified epoxy resin, using allyl polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene epoxy ether as main slurry, adding graphene oxide, stirring, and using deionized water for diluting; and (2) carbon fiber composite material comprises thermoplastic resin containing 5.0-10.0 parts maleic anhydride-grafted acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, polypropylene, polyethylene and polystyrene resin.
