NOVELTY - Preparing zinc cathode modified by metal complex comprises (i) using acid for titrating the ammonium salt solution to acidity to obtain a mixed solution, (ii) adding the metal compound raw material to the above-mentioned step mixed solution, (iii) ultrasonically dispersing the solution obtained in the above steps, and then adding a zinc cathode, (iv) stirring the solution obtained in the above steps under the condition of an oil bath, (v) washing the product obtained in the above steps for 2-3 times with a washing solvent, placing in a vacuum drying oven and drying to obtain zinc cathode modified by a metal complex. USE - The zinc cathode is used in aqueous zinc-based battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple; utilizes raw materials are easy to obtain; is economical and suitable for large-scale production; exhibits good electrochemical performance; inhibits growth of the cathode dendrite; improves the cycle stability and multiplying power performance of the electrochemical energy storage device i.e. battery.
