ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparing the cobalt oxide nano plate and the graphene composite lithium battery cathode material with excellent lithium storage performance and wide prospect in the field of lithium ion battery cathode material development. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A cobalt oxide nano plate and graphene composite lithium battery cathode material preparing method involves putting 1-2 g of natural graphite powder into a flask and putting the flask in ice water to keep temperature at 0 degrees C. Nitric acid of 40-80 ml is added in the flask and stirred for 8-12 minutes. Sulfuric acid of 60-120 ml is added and stirred for 50-60 minutes at 18-23 degrees C. Potassium permanganate of 5-10g is slowly added and stirred for 1-2 hours. The temperature is kept at 33-36 degrees C. Pure water of 200-400 ml is added to obtain black colloid substance. Hydrogen peroxide of 5-10 ml is added to obtain brown-yellow solution. Hydrochloric acid of 15-30 ml is added to clean the solution. The solution is centrifugally separated using ultra pure water to wash for 3-5 times and dried to obtain the graphene oxide. The cobalt nitrate and natural graphite powder are utilized as raw materials to prepare graphene oxide. The cobalt nitrate is added with the hexamethylenetetramine water solution and stirred for 30 minutes. The graphite oxide of 0.06-0.12g is dispersed in 10-30 ml of ethanol solution for 20-30 minutes. The solution is added into the mixed solution in a single reactor to react for 3-30 minutes. The dark green obtained product is centrifugally separated using ultra pure water to wash and dried at 60-80 degrees C for 10-12 hours to obtain the intermediate product of cobalt c graphene oxide. The product is provided in a tubular furnace and heated at 280-320 degrees C for 1-2 hours to obtain a final product of graphene load cobalt nano composite material.
