NOVELTY - Ultra-light weight graphene microsphere is single-layer graphene sheet having microsphere size of 100 nanometer to 100 mu m, diameter of 20 nanometer to 3 mu mm, density of not less than 0.04g/cubic centimeter, specific surface area of 50-1000square meter/g and carbon/oxygen ratio is 6-100. USE - Ultra-light weight graphene microsphere for absorbing solar energy. ADVANTAGE - The ultra-light weight graphene microsphere enables to prepare in simple manner, solves graphene powder light absorptivity, has wide optical absorption frequency, high light absorption rate and low energy consumption, and is suitable for large-scale industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing ultra-light weight graphene microsphere which involves: (A) adding gradually the organic solvent as poor solvent into the single-layer graphene oxide dispersion until no flocculent precipitate is generated, where size of graphite oxide is 100 nanometer to 100 mu m and dispersion concentration is 0.1-2mg/mL; (B) adding hydroiodic acid and reducing agent and reducing to the 90-120 degrees C for 2-20 hours; (C) filtering to obtain precipitate; and (D) subjecting to the supervital pulverization under protection of inert gas to obtain Ultra-light weight graphene microsphere.
