NOVELTY - Synthesizing graphene involves: (a) at room temperature, using toluene as solvent, preparing brominated benzene solution, and adding active metal selected from sodium, lithium, and magnesium; (b) placing the mixed solution in polytetrafluoroethylene-lined stainless steel reaction vessel, and heating to react; and (c) washing precipitate with absolute ethanol, adding de-ionized water for centrifugal washing, dialyzing to obtain aqueous graphene nanosheet solution; and after the solid product is further washed with water until the supernatant of the solution is colorless, drying to obtain solid graphene powder. USE - The method is useful for synthesizing graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene has high electrical conductivity.
